Terms of Use

Termind lets you keep reminders, notes and birthdays by typing commands into a terminal-style screen. It works on your device without an account. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use it on devices you own, for your own non-commercial use.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and you must be able to enter a contract where you live. You confirm your age when you sign up. The app itself works as a guest, without an account, on the same terms.

An account is optional. You need one to subscribe to PRO. Give us accurate details, keep your password safe, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under it. You can delete your account at any time with /user delete; see the account deletion page.

PRO is a subscription sold through Google Play. It unlocks cloud sync of your reminders, notes, birthdays, groups and settings, and the non-default terminal colour palettes.

The price, the billing period and any free trial are shown in Google Play before you buy. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in Google Play, under Payments & subscriptions. Payment, taxes, refunds and cancellation are handled by Google Play under its own terms and refund policy. Deleting your Termind account or uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.

When a subscription ends, PRO features stop working; the data on your device stays. We may end PRO access for an account whose subscription status was changed without a valid Google Play purchase.

What you write in the app stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to store, sync and show it to you as the app is designed to work, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Without PRO, your data exists only on your device, so losing the device, clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app loses it. Even with sync, keep your own copy of anything important.

Do not:

• store or share unlawful content, or use the app to harass, threaten or spam other people;
• enter another person's phone number or details without a reason you are entitled to have;
• copy, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
• get around the PRO paywall, or tamper with, overload or probe the sign-in and sync services;
• use bots or scripts to create accounts or to send automated requests.

A reminder depends on things we do not control: your version of Android, battery optimisation, Do Not Disturb, whether you granted the notification and exact-alarm permissions, and the state of the device. A reminder can arrive late or not at all. Do not rely on Termind alone for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm, such as medication, safety, or a legal or financial deadline.

Everything you store in Termind is visible only to you; we do not publish or share it. If you believe something in the app infringes your copyright, write to feedback.cray@gmail.com with what it is, why you believe it infringes, and how to reach you, and we will look into it.

The app uses Google services: Google Play, Google Sign-In and Firebase. Your use of them is also subject to Google's terms. Cloud sync works only while those services do, and we are not responsible for their outages.

We may change, add or remove features, and may suspend or stop cloud services. Where we can, we will give notice in the app's release notes or the store listing. Local features do not depend on our servers and keep working on your device.

If we stop cloud sync or another paid feature while you have paid for a period that has not ended, we will refund the unused part of that period, through Google Play or in another way we tell you.

The app, its name, design and code belong to us or our licensors. Open-source components remain under their own licences, which are listed on the open-source licences page.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for missed reminders, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away consumer rights that you have where you live.

You can stop at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why unless the law prevents us.

When these terms change, we publish the new version at this address and update the version above. A change that matters to you (price, what PRO includes, your rights) applies only from a date we announce in the release notes at least 30 days ahead. Corrections that do not change your rights apply at once.

If you do not agree with a change, you can cancel PRO, delete your account and stop using the app before it applies; we will refund the unused part of any period you already paid for that the change affects. If you keep using the app after the date, you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. If you use the app as a consumer, you keep the mandatory consumer protection rights of the country where you live.
